Gordon Brush® offers a wide selection of food service and janitorial cleaning brushes to meet your needs. We have utility brushes with a choice of Nylon bristles in a polypropylene block; brass bristles in a wooden block; crimped polypropylene bristles in a foam polypropylene block; a multi-purpose scrub brush with highest quality alkali and solvent resistant crimped polypropylene bristles that are heat tolerant to 230°F; Swiss-style block utility brushes, 6", with a choice of either Nylon or polypropylene bristles and hygienic dish and hand washing brushes.
Brass bristle normally contains about 70% Copper and 30% Zinc. This bristle wire is the softest metal fiber available and comes either straight or crimped. It is used for light to medium cleaning and luster finishing. It can be used up to temperatures of 500°F (260°C). Nylon bristle has excellent abrasion, set, chemical and resistance and bend recovery. It has good temperature resistance (high melting temperature, high short-term use temperature) and good stiffness, but softens in water. It is FDA approved.
Polypropylene bristle is a versatile, stiff, low cost filament used for a wide variety of applications. Polypropylene will not absorb moisture or odors and sheds dirt easily. It has excellent wet stiffness, abrasive tip cleaning action, is non-brittle, and is inert to most solvents, oil, acids, and chemicals. It is, in fact, one of the most chemically resistant synthetic filament materials available. It has a maximum short-term use at 225°F (107°C) and a maximum continuous use at 175°F (79°C). These durable brushes serve a wide variety of food service and janitorial applications.
